These adorable snacks are perfect for the young and the young at heart!

Ingredients

  • 12 Boiled Medium Eggs (see notes)
  • 2 Carrots with Tops
  • Black Peppercorns
  • Green onion stems
  • Skewers

Instructions

  1. First boil, cool and peel the eggs.
  2. Cut both ends of the egg and neatly stack two of them together and gently pierce through them with a wooden toothpick.
  3. Peel the carrots and cut slices from both ends (one large, one small) to use for a hat.
  4. With the smaller carrot slice stacked on top of the larger one, pierce through them with a wooden toothpick and then push the assembled hat through the two stacked eggs.
  5. For the nose, carve a triangle shape from the carrot.
  6. Using a toothpick, pierce a “face” into the top egg in the middle and insert the nose. Pierce for the two eyes and four spots to make a mouth and press in peppercorns.
  7. Make three additional piercings in the body and add peppercorns for the buttons.
  8. You can use the green stems from the carrot tops to create the arms and any additional accessories.
  9. You can optionally use green onion stems to make a hat band and scarf to complete your snowman figure.
  10. To serve, place the snowmen stacked upright on a serving dish or use skewers for a handheld snack!
