Which family members work on your farm?

My dad, brother, and brother-in-law. My wife, sister-in-law, and two sisters also help out from time to time when needed.

How long have you been egg farming?

I have been farming my whole life and began managing the farm ten years ago.

Why did you begin egg farming?

I had great memories growing up on the egg farm and once I had kids, I wanted to give them the same opportunities and experiences I had growing up.

Do you raise any other livestock or crops on your farm?

No.

What is your favourite part about being an egg farmer?

My favourite part about being able an egg farmer is being able to provide food for our local community. I also love taking care of the birds and ensuring they have the best conditions possible.

Why did you choose the production type you use?

I saw that the public had an increasing desire for cage free eggs. After touring some facilities and seeing the birds in an aviary barn, I felt this was the future of egg farming.
